JCC Early Childhood Outdoor Project
WINGS PLAYGROUND

Nov 1, 2019 Update from Lauren Kochman:

We had a productive meeting about Wings playground this morning! Thank you Laina StapletonRosa Colon & Sarah Falk for your ideas! Here is the ‘rendering’ and notes from our visit:

• The new space will include a track around the tree, turf* flooring, blocks/building, music wall, mud kitchen, water wall & hillside cabin

• We will re-purpose pieces from the existing play structure

• Fundraising: The Parent Committee is meeting Monday to discuss funds and budget for this project. This morning we discussed fundraising at the Hanukkah Bazaar with sponsoring playground items (grandparents, classrooms), classroom bake sale & child art sale. Maybe B2K can man the table.

• Time Table:
- November-January: we will work on the 4 smaller projects in split up groups with a deadline of January 31
- February: disassemble large play structure
- March : repurpose structure parts, work on hillside cabin and track
- Final Deadline : School start 2020
